We spend a third of our lifetime in bed, so why would you not choose to have a luxurious large bed to relax and fall asleep in after a long hard day? A standard double bed is a mere 4ft and 6in, wide which gives each person just 2ft 3in. It’s no wonder that sleep disturbance from your partner is one of the UK’s biggest causes of sleep deprivation.

Benefits of a super king

The average person wriggles and turns over around 60 times a night so you need room for this to be possible and without waking your partner up. Also, a lot of parents find that they rarely sleep without the tiny footsteps of a child sneaking in or even a dog or cat venturing onto the bed. Here are a few of the reasons you deserve to get yourself a bigger bed.

1 - We spend a third of our lifetime in bed

We all deserve a comfy night’s sleep and by the time you’re 50 you will have spent 16 years in bed. A bigger bed is a worthwhile investment to ensure a good number of years sleeping without disturbances. Couples sleep better in a bigger bed to get away from their partners fidgeting. With a roomier bed you’re less likely to spend your nights fighting for space.

2 - 16 other countries boast bigger beds than Britain.

Once you’ve slept in a bigger bed on holiday is difficulty to go back to a smaller bed. According to the Sleep Council other countries have a bigger average size of a bed than Britain.

3 - Children

Picture the scene, you have snuggled into bed, and you hear tiny footsteps creeping into your room. Next thing you have a hot wriggly child squashed between you and your partner. With a super king 5ft or a super king 6ft the kids can snuggle in without it being a tight squeeze. Put an end to bed hopping and make way for a bigger bed.

4 – We are larger than previous generations.
