Introducing our ‘Cariad’ range for sweet dreams

At North Wales Beds, we like to add the personal touch to our hand-picked selection of mattresses.

True to our Welsh roots, where we have been helping the people of North Wales and its border counties sleep well for over 30 years, we have decided to call a new range of our stocked mattresses ‘Cariad’. For non-Welsh speakers, this is an endearing term meaning ‘sweetheart’.

Signs you need a new mattress

1 – Anywhere other than here

Your bed should be your sanctuary. A place you can’t wait for, where you know you will drift off into deep and undisturbed sleep. If you find yourself preferring a comfy chair rather than your own bed, that could be the first sign you need a new mattress. Your bed should be your most comfortable place to sleep.

2 – How old is your bed?

It is recommended to upgrade or change your bed if it is eight years old or older. It may feel more like getting into a hammock because it has lost support, or there may be some obvious sagging. Perhaps your mattress has a bad smell or makes certain squeaks? That's another sign that your mattress is old and needs replacing. An old mattress could also contain a build-up of dust, that may make allergies worse, so if you find yourself sneezing in bed this could be a sign.

3 – Not feeling well rested

Listen to your body and the signs it gives you. If you’re waking up tired and not feeling like you have had a good night’s sleep, then your mattress may be to blame. A mattress should support your body and ease aches and pains, not cause them. Sleep insomnia may also be caused by the quality of your bed, not your worries from the day.
