Pillow talk - a guide to our range of pillows

With so much choice of types of pillow fillings and materials available, knowing if you have the best pillow for your sleep can be a bit of a nightmare.

Whether you prefer to sleep with one pillow or with a multiple layered stack, we’ve provided a guide to our range of pillows, to help you find out which pillow is right for you:

That sinking feeling

It can be all too easy to buy what seems to be plush, plump pillows from general shops and supermarkets at a low price. However, filled with cheaper fillings like cotton or polyfill, these can quite quickly flatten, which can cause neck, shoulder, and back pain and sleepless nights quite quickly. If plump pillows are what you are after, you could find yourself buying these again and again, becoming more expensive in the long run.

These style pillows, such as our Standard Polyester Pillow, are best used on beds less commonly slept in, such as in guest bedrooms, where it will take much longer for the fillings to flatten over time.

Spitting feathers

Once the epitome of pillow decadence, feather pillows (made from the feathers and down of ducks and geese) have lost some of their popularity in recent years. However, our Night Comfort Pillow, which is 85% feather and 15% down filling, is soft and comfortable, with a pure cotton piped cover for added coolness.

Thanks for the memory

Memory foam is one of the most popular forms of pillows today, and for good reason. Once the reserve of astronauts, memory foam adapts to you, cushioning your head and neck rather than enveloping it, for better support. Our Comfort Memory Foam Pillow offers great support and comfort with a cooling, quilted feeling.

Making the medical grade

For those needing something more specialised to their needs, medical grade pillows provide the ultimate in comfort and support. These more effectively support the head, neck, and shoulders than any other pillow, keeping everything in alignment to alleviate tension and pain.

Following the national guidelines for sleep, our Mammoth range of medical grade pillows are available in two thicknesses, Slim and Deep, to establish comfort and assist with a restful night’s sleep.

The Ultimate Slim Pillow is designed for those who sleep on their front or back, and is it is high enough to support the head but keeps the chin in a relaxed position. The Ultimate Deep Pillow is designed for side sleepers, and is high enough to support the gap between the point of the shoulder and the head, ensuring good neck support.

Latex down to rest

Ideal for side sleepers, latex pillows offer superior comfort with instant pressure relief, and are fully breathable, so there are no overheating issues. These are also resistant to dust mites, which make them one of the most hygienic choices.

Gel very well

Gel pillows are a modern marvel, using cooling gel to reduce heat build-up in the pillow, helping people regulate their body temperature while they sleep.

Our Sonlevo True Gel Pillow is a great quality pillow using the very latest in pure gel technology, with superb cooling and bounce-back properties for cool comfort.

The best of both worlds

There are many styles of pillows which provide a combination of two or more materials.

Our Sonlevo Aivo De Luxe Pillow is a deep pocket spring pillow which keeps your head and neck in a comfortable position. Offering medium support, it is ideal for back or side sleepers.

A customer favourite for three years running, our luxury MLILY Premier De Luxe Pillow takes the best of memory foam and combines it with advanced cooling gel. This creates a more relaxed sleeping experience that adapts to the natural contours of your head and neck.

Of course, the best way to find out which pillow is right for you is to try before you buy. Our showroom in Wrexham is the perfect place for you to see, feel and test out your new pillow of choice.

While our pillows are not the cheapest, we believe it is far better for your sleep and physical health to spend a bit more now on a good pillow that will last you a lifetime, rather than spending a lot more on cheap, replaceable pillows over your lifetime.
